12th April at Thruxton.”Ash Sinfield’s second race in category 4 started with a fast pace, but he sat at the back of the pack and waited as every lap the wind would bunch the group back together. Lap by lap he gradually moved forward. Then in the final lap, on the second to last straight facing into the wind, he made an attack and created space between himself and the pack, which he held until the finish for his first win and 10 points towards his category 3 license.”
Lee entered his first Category 3 race and was up against a strong field of 97 riders. The race distance was 12laps of the famous Thruxton motorsport circuit. The race got off to a rapid start and Lee was placed well in the peloton. As the 8th lap approached Lee got caught out along the back straight and couldn’t bridge the gap to the peloton due to the strong headwind which led him to a DNF.
