Wight Mountain Cyclocross Team Oxford

Start of the Cyclocross Season

Wight Mountain Cyclo Cross
The Wight Mountain/Red Funnel team introduced a new member into the world of Cyclocross at Oxford on Sunday.
Jorge Millan, had a great first ride of his Cyclocross career to achieve 17th place in the Senior race, beating some very strong and experienced opposition and all carried out on a mountain bike rather than a Cyclocross specific machine.

Alec Broome had a happier race this week after coming off in his first race last week at Newbury.
The ride saw him finish in the middle of the field, providing a strong result considering it is his first season of competitive racing.
The Vets race provided a great result for Steve Dines, achieving 3rd place in the Vet 55 age group, Martyn Dymond, had a second disappointment to his season and another mechanical meant that he did not finish the race.
